Take the RQ (Romantic Quotient) Test

Romance is knowing your lover

Different personalities prefer different types of romance.  What happens is that we expect our mate to love and be loved the way we feel loved.  So what is romantic to us is supposed to be romantic to them, right?  Wrong!

Many personality tests exist that describe four personality types.  We've laid out what expresses love to each of the personality types.  Take this RQ (Romantic Quotient) test.  This is an open book exam!  See if you can pick yourself out-and see if you can discern which type of lover you are married too.

Type 1 LoverKnight in Shining Armor, Queen of hearts.

 

Examples: Lancelot, James Bond, Robin Hood, Crocodile

Dundee, Joan of Arc, and Lois Lane

 

Characteristics:

  

·  Dominant   ·  Task-Oriented
·  Extroverted  ·  Loves New Experiences 
·  Controling ·  Focused
·  Active ·  Cooperative 
·  Conquering      ·  Makes a decision & gets on with it  

 

Preferences in Romance:

 

·  Adventurous Activity     ·  Club Med 
·  No guided tour ·  Hiking
·  Anything they decide is a good idea                              

 

(Personality Type: Choleric; Dominant; Lion)

 

 

 

Type 2 Lover.  The Hopeless Romantic

Examples:  Anne of Avonlea, Cupid

Characteristics:

·  People - oriented   ·  Extroverted     
·  Is the center of attention   ·  Loves to be with lots of people  
·  Enjoys new experiences ·  Fun
·  Unique ·  Exotic
·  Daring ·  Looks for new adventures
·  Active

 

Preferences in Romance:

·  Anything New    ·  Entertainment that is personal and touches the heart  
·  Adventurous outings   ·  Human Drama (plays, musicals, concerts, sports)
·  Exotic Getaways

 

(Personality Type: Sanguine; Inspirational; Otter)

 

 


Type 3 Lover. Wind Beneath My Wings

 

Examples:  Superman, Robert and Elizabeth Browning

 

Characteristics:

·  People-oriented   ·  Introverted  
·  Relaxed ·  Easy going
·  Takes it as it comes   ·  Stress free
·  Has time to talk

 

Preferences in Romance:

·  Light schedule    ·  Simple activities   
·  Time to relax ·  Escape from reality flexible  
·  Entertainment with time to enjoy it   

 

(Personality Type: Phlegmatic; Steady; Retriever)

 

 

 

 

 

Type 4 Lover.  True Blue Lover

 

Examples: Jane Eyre, Romeo & Juliet

 

 

 

Characteristics:

·  Task Oriented   ·  Introverted  
·  Predictable ·  Scheduled
·  Enjoys things that are significant       

 

Preferences in Romance:

·  Guided Tours   ·  Educational Outings  
·  Museums ·  Historical Tours
·  Long conversations
